Horseback riding in Punta Cana: lessons and guided rides
Choose a riding experience by rider level, route and supervision instead of assuming every excursion is a beach gallop.

Lesson or guided outing?
Puntacana Resort includes horseback riding and riding lessons among its activities. A first lesson focuses on handling and confidence; a guided outing follows a route. Tell the provider which you want and ask for the actual riding location rather than relying on a generic beach photograph.
Match the horse and pace to the rider
Describe prior riding experience and participant ages. Ask the provider to explain its height, weight and age restrictions directly, how horses are assigned and whether beginners stay at walking pace. Confirm helmets and supervision. Do not book an advanced ride for a mixed group without discussing each person’s level.
What the day actually includes
Separate riding time from the hotel transfer and introductory briefing. Ask about footwear, belongings, water, photos and weather changes. Choose an operator willing to explain horse care and route conditions. Beach access and faster riding must be explicitly agreed, not assumed from the product name.
Frequently asked question
Is galloping on the beach included?
Do not assume so. Route, pace, rider ability and local conditions must be confirmed by the riding operator.
